Planted on the southern facing slopes of the Bierzo region in northwestern Spain, these bush vines were planted 85 years ago using the gobelet training system with a density of 3000 vines/hectare. The soil is made up of decomposed gravel and slate. Although the vineyards are not certified organic, Dominio de Tares does all it can to respect the environment in its viticultural practices.
