Tasting Notes
Kettmeir?s Pinot Bianco vineyards are planted with east and southeast exposures at elevations of 400-600 meters in the steep hillsides west of Lake Caldaro around Castelvecchio and in Basar Atesina. The training system is a combination of Pergola Trentina (overhead trellis) and Guyot (vertical trellis) with all grapes harvested by hand. Soils here have a loose texture with calcareous elements to enhance the wine?s freshness. The various soil types and expositions of these vineyards, plus farming practices that respect the environment, translates to complexity in the glass while still being transparent to the Alto Adige terroir.
