Our vision for Bryant Family Vineyard is about achieving excellence. We endeavor to craft beautiful wines that are the ultimate expression of the exceptional terroir. We also believe that relationships are key to success, and seek out the most qualified, passionate, talented, and dedicated individuals to accomplish our goals. Donald L. Bryant, Jr., is driven by the pursuit excellence and realizing the full potential of his extraordinary Pritchard Hill estate. Investing in his passion for wine, the St. Louis businessman acquired the 13-acre vineyard overlooking Lake Hennessey in the late 1980s and replanted it with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon using modern viticulture practices. The first vintage was released in 1992, and soon after Bryant Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon won critical acclaim and became internationally recognized as a world-class wine. Don Bryant?s goal is to celebrate the first-growth vineyard terroir while paying homage to the great winemaking traditions of Bordeaux.

100- Ratings by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon entirely from the Pritchard Hill estate and aged in 90% new oak, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple colored and has a disarmingly profound red roses and red and black currant nose with wild blueberries and yeast extract accents plus tapenade, tilled soil, subtle exotic spices and pencil shavings and the faintest waft of lavender. The palate is ethereal in its weight with a medium to full-body supported by firm yet perfectly ripe, grainy tannins structuring the tightly wound savory layers and leading to a very long, fragrant earth finish. So poised, so classy, so Bryant.
99-Ratings by James Suckling
Blackberry and blackcurrant character with dried flowers, iron and fresh mushrooms. Very subtle and complex. Medium-to full-bodied, very linear and focused with super fine tannins that are driven and succulent. Extremely long and flavorful. Shows precision and focus. Finely crafted. Subtle. Hard not to drink and contemplate now, but better after 2022.
93- Ratings by Wine Spectator
This sports a juicy, fruit-laden core of black currant, blackberry and fig paste flavors, inlaid liberally with baker's chocolate, espresso and tar notes. Everything pulls together on the finish, carried by a wide swath of loamy grip. Shows more heft than purity, but hard to deny. Best from 2022 through 2037.
